Emin Aliyev

I was born in Baku in 1996. From 2013 to 2017, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (ADMİU), followed by a Master’s degree in Theatre Criticism, which I completed in 2022.
Since 2013, I have contributed literary and journalistic writing to various Azerbaijani newspapers and arts and culture platforms. During my career, I have served as the editor of Teatro.az and, from 2020 to 2022, as the Editor-in-Chief of the Artlogos cultural platform.
In 2022, I received the Young Person of the Year Award. I was shortlisted for the Story of the Year competition in 2021 and for the CHARACTERS Contemporary Playwriting Competition in 2024.
In 2020, I presented at a conference at Batumi Art University and participated in GITIS’s Laboratory for Young Theatre Producers. In 2023, I took part in the Young Festival Managers Atelier in Greece.
As a producer and festival manager, I was the initiator and Creative Director of the 4.4 Short Plays Festival. During my time at the Ministry of Culture, I was also part of the creative teams behind a number of major state events, including the Khary Bulbul Music Festival.
In 2026, I served as the Creative Producer of The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, a musical production by ESA Theatre.
